Migration general
Seems like migration is kicking right in! The radar the past few nights has been quite busy and I have woken up in the middle of the night to hear the NFCs. It's very exciting!

Saratoga NHP Raptors
While biking the 11 mile tour road (even at high speed and two laps), the raptors were jumping out all around me. First, an adult Bald Eagle buzzed only 20 feet over my head near the Barber Wheatfield

Re: Fallen eagle nest
That pair has had a history of bad luck - if you can call it that. The previous nest tree was cut down (illegally). Good that the pair came back and claimed a new location. Let’s hope they come back

Fallen eagle nest
I believe the Bald Eagle nest across the Hudson from Henry Hudson Park in Selkirk has fallen. I'm 99% certain I'm scoping in the right spot, and I see no nest but a branch that looks recently broken.

Common Nighthawk- Colonie 8/12
While I was stopped in traffic near Rosewood Plaza in Colonie, I watched a Common Nighthawk zig-zagging away from me at a pretty low altitude. Should be an increasingly common sighting going forward
