Fall Migration in Troy
Heidi
Have seen evidence of fall migration the past few days:
In Oakwood Cemetery, 3 days in a row I’ve counted at least 21 KILLDEER all in Section S just inside the Oakwood Avenue entrance east of the pond.
In my yard (near St Mary’s Cem) I’ve had several HUMMINGBIRDS fattening up with multiple feeder visits
A large flock (est 2 dzn) of Common Grackles incl several juveniles
And today had a juvenile ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK at the sunflower feeder.
Also the RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH has returned.
