Within fifty or more common redpolls on the ground, I had a hoary redpoll right next to me and photographed it . . .  Durkeetown Rd. southeast of Ft. Edward, Washington County.  Clean unmarked under-tail coverts, smaller bill, smaller red patch, minimal streaking, and frosty appearance. Sharing the photo for reference as common redpolls seem to be increasing in the area with my home feeders getting them yesterday.
