Carter's Lake Birding

Scott Varney

Relatively quiet with birds with cold temps and blustery winds. Highlights included a male Northern Harrier, 8 Great Blue Herons all on nests, 3 Pine Warblers, and about 50 Ring-necked Ducks. Brown Creeper songs are the most vocal in the woods here.  Lots of Swamp Sparrows singing on the other side of the lake as I travelled Ferguson Road.  Also had another Eastern Towhee on Kilburn Road on my way home.

Happy Birding,
