Heard a tapping in the trees of the house next door on Monday, and took out my camera, only to discover a female Yellow Bellied Sapsucker having a nice snack of critters from the pine she was working on! She was partially obscured by pine boughs in the shots I took, but I was able to ID her from her markings that showed from behind the foliage in several different shots.
