Worm-eating Warbler- Albany Pine Bush Preserve 8/17


On a midday walk, clockwise through the Albany Pine Bush Preserve-Karner Barrens East, I ran into a small pocket of migrant vireos and warblers near the NE corner of the yellow trail just before it ascends the sandy hill and turns right. There were a few Yellow Warblers and a Warbling Vireo, neither of which breeds in that part of the Preserve, but the big surprise was a Worm-eating Warbler. Migrants are definitely on the move.
