Shorebird migration has picked up markedly and Cohoes Falls Overlook and Flats are the hot spots with
Pectoral and Stilt Sandpipers, Short-billed Dowitcher, and a possible Wilson's Phalarope being seen recently. A
Black tern has also been seen. Meet at 8:00 a.m. at the end of Clark Ave. behind the U-Haul on
Ontario St. (NY Rt.470). Spotting scopes and waterproof foot gear are highly desirable if not essential to check out
the Flats thoroughly if water levels allow us to walk them. Hope to see you there.
