Red-winged blackbirds were displaying at Collins Lake in Scotia last Saturday (4-13); Eastern Phoebe abundant at Five Rivers recently (a modest coverage of the grounds yields a dozen) and even the Mallard seemed to be enjoying the lack of ice on the Heron pond (five rivers)

And, one photo of the FOY (April 6) Black Vulture at Five Rivers, which is becoming more and more common in our area.

Enjoy the spring, fellow birders! - Scott Stoner and Denise Hackert-Stoner, Loudonville
