Proposed Changes to ADAP Data Report: Provide Comments by February 3

HRSA is proposing several changes to the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) Data Report, including the Recipient Report and the Client Report. Proposed changes achieve the following:

·         Improve question clarity;

·         Delete obsolete data elements;

·         Combine related data elements;

·         Add new data elements; and

·         Improve response options to reflect program practices and support HRSA's analysis and understanding of program impact.

Prior to submitting an Information Collection Request (ICR) to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), HRSA is seeking comments from the public regarding the estimated burden or any other aspect of the proposed data collection.

The deadline for commenting is February 3.

Resource Allocation Guidelines, Emerging Practices, and Innovation: Webinar January 28 (Technical Assistance)

This webinar, which will take place January 28, 2:00 – 3:00 pm ET, will describe key definitions and requirements for resource allocation and effective resource allocation processes including tips, strategies, and resources. Representatives from the Philadelphia Office of HIV Planning and the Virginia Department of Health will present their strategies for optimizing resource allocation approaches in their jurisdictions. It is presented by the HRSA HAB-supported Integrated HIV/AIDS Planning (IHAP) TA Center.

Resource allocation is an essential step in planning the optimal use of Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) funds by assigning awarded RWHAP resources to prioritized service categories. Through resource allocation, RWHAP funds are assigned to priority services in order to best meet local HIV care and treatment needs. The RWHAP mandates that both Part A and Part B recipients conduct a priority setting and resource allocation process that incorporates a wide range of representatives and stakeholders, including those who reflect the epidemic in their jurisdiction.
