Hello gents,
I'm quite new into RTTY and with Logger32/RTTY my experience is close to zero. So, I have some questions: - How can I send free text from keyboard? I can enter test to middle part of MMTTY engine window, but it is not sent on ENTER - Working split recent P29RO I had one of keys programmed: $transmit$ $myCall$ 599 $call$ $receive$ I understand $call$ has value as long as it is correspondent callsign entered into callsign field, but since he worked split all the time, his callsign used to go away with my every calling. I sent him mere "599 py2ro". What is the best practice here? TS590/AFSK/MMTTY+2T Vytenis LY2KZ |

When calling DX you send you call only, nothing else. I use this macro for that: $transmit$ G3YYD
$receive$ I then will hit the function key for that
macro (F4) and send it a number of times The when he (hopefully) replies I use this: $transmit$ 599 TU $log$$receive$ Again I will often send it more than once to make sure he copies it. 73 David G3YYD

When using the sound card data window and the focus is on the Tx pane, you can toggle between transmit and receive by typing the Pause/Break key. You can also type the function key associated with a $transmit$ or $receive$ macro. O, you can click the mouse on the Receive/Transmit pane on the sound card data window status bar.
When working split the callsign field of the logbook entry window is cleared when you transmit? Explore the Radio Control Panel macros $clearcallsignonqsyon$ and $clearcallsignonqsyoff$ macros. There is also a menu option on the logbook entry window to set this option.
