Paired PCs Contest Serial

Hi,
I've two PCs paired. Today one was in contest mode using serial numbers. On the other I added some SFI info and changed other stuff. Each 'update' increments the serial no. on the contest PC which is somewhat disconcerting.. hi.. Well, maybe someone could have a look at this. 73, Andy |

Na fein, versuchen wir das.
Also, man Stelle sich zwei vernetzte PC vor. Die Synchronisation der Logs ist eingerichtet und funktioniert. Auf einem PC (nennen wir ihn C wie contest) hatte Ich an einem contest teilgenommen. Dort wurden aufsteigende Seriennummern verwendet. Wenn ich nun an dem anderen PC (N wie normal) an einem contest qso eine Änderung vornehme, wird diese nach C übertragen. So weit so gut. Gleichzeitig wird aber auch die Seriennummer auf C um 1 erhöht. Das sollte nicht sein. Werden gar die contest qsos (z.B. 100) von N nach z.B. lotw hochgeladen und das entsprechende flag gesetzt zeigt der Seriennummern Zähler auf C 200. Und das nächste contest qso erhält die Nummer 201 statt 101. Alles klar? Sicher. 73, Andreas |

Yes. Alles klar. What you describe is exactly how it should work. Maybe not how you want it to work, but the way it should work.
When the clock strikes midnight and the contest is finished, four mouse clicks on PC C turns off serial number logging. You can now add and/or edit QSOs on PC N without incrementing the serial number on PC C.
For you next contest you have to reset the PC C serial number. So, while you're there, turn serial number logging again (one extra mouse click).
