Logging FT4 on 20m from JTDX

DL3KMS

Hi,

when I log a qso in FT4 on 20m from JTDX, the band field on my logbook page in Logger32 4,0,255 shows an empty field.
I have also checked the "UDP Logging requests.txt" and it doesn't show the band.

Example:
"Logging request from JTDX on 05 Mai 2021 at 19:23:08 for DL1AA on 14,080929 /FT4"

On all other bands and modes it's working as it should.
"Logging request from JTDX on 05 Mai 2021 at 19:29:01 for DL1AA on 18,104929 17m/FT4"

Could this be a JTDX bug?

Martin, the Log QSO messages from JTDX do not have band, only frequency. Logger32 converts the frequency to band from information in your BandPlan. If no band is logged, then there is a hole in your BandPlan. Click TOOLS | SETUP BANDS & MODES. Scroll down to 20m. Look at the frequency of your 20m FT4 QSO (14080 + audio offset). Do you see any 20m row that would catch that frequency? If does not have to be an FT4 row, any row will work. SeventyThree(s).

Thanks for reply Bob. I have an extra row for 20m FT4 in my bandplan with 14.080, so that should work?!

Not sure of this, but is Your FT4 band slot wide enough? The picture says 14,080000 to 14,080000, but JTDX tries to log the contact as 14,080929?

Yes, but the QSO was on 14080 + the audio frequency (which is not in your BandPlan. The simple solution to to modify your CW row to be from 14.0 to 14.35.  SeventyThree(s).

Hi Marcin,
I suggest to you to extend the BandPlan for FT4.

... or change CW upper frequency to 14.350. SeventyThree(s).
