Installed and tested OK. Removed test info and entered a couple of
pages of old logs via "ADD" tab. Next time into program got the
normal screen and box about database error...couldn't find
notepad..ignore if 1st time.. clicked OK and immediately back to
windows desktop with Logger program closed.

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Hate to start entering data
again if I can't get back to it.

-Did you create a logbook to have the info stored in? Best thing for
a
new user to do is go to the help section and do the tutorial thing
first. The majority of problems can be worked out by reading the help
file and taking some time to think out the problem from the
instructions. (When all else fails read the instructions)

Yes, created logbook (it appears in the directory that shows behing
the error box). I did the tutorials. After that, I deleted (by
highliting and deleting) each of the example QSO entries that were
put in during the tutorial. Then, I entered some of my old logbook
data, using the "ADD" tab. I entered about 50 QSOs and exited the
program. The next time I started up Logger, I can see my call
directory but when I click OK on the error box about the
notepad...ignore if 1st time etc., that is when the screen
immediately goes to the windows desktop with the Logger program
closed.
