Seems there is a bit of a glitch at egroups.Apparently, Jim was in charge of the list. He said that he turned the list over to someone else who went on vacation and while he looked after it felt he didn't like the list. lack of helpful people, people who post virus warnings, etc. He had enough, he just pulled the plug and deleted everything last night. Oh boy, that is not very helpful.
Seems to me that if the old logger list is definitely not going to return it might be worthwhile renaming this one as Logger? Then at least everybody who has it bookmarked will find it in the end. Also seems to me that a moderator has two choices - Accept everything and anything put on the list or Censor everything that is not to his liking. Hope this works out. In a previous message, I stated that KH2D has sent "vulgar and profane" comments to some "members" ( note plural )of the old Logger list. I grouped "vulgar and profane" into one category. However, I now realize that this could be interpreted that only "profane" comments were sent. That was not my intent. I therefore apologize directly to Jim, and any of you who were offended. As far as I am concerned, this old matter is finished. Let's all work to rebuild a fine reflector. 73 Ed |
