Kenwood TS890, WSJT connection woes

Hi All,
I’m having major issues here trying to configure my new TS890 with Logger32 and WSJT-X…
I’ve downloaded (and paid for) VSPE, tried to make a split connection,, and it’s just not playing ball.
Either the radio connects, or WSJT connects, but not playing nicely together.
I’m thinking instead of a split connection, maybe another COMPort connection…. Any help greatly appreciated as Logger is a rather good program I’m not wanting to move away from.

DR Brian,

I think that you are trying to do things more complicated than you have to.

Just let WSJT-X control the radio and report the frequency and other relevant matters to Logger32 via the UDP.

It is easy to configure it so, if you first start Logger32 and it is controlling the radio and then open WSJT-X from Logger32 the control will be released to WSJT-X. When you close the WSJT-X again the control goes back to Logger32.

This is all explained with pictures and examples in chapter 15 of the great help file.

I’ve solved my connection issues!!! Not the way I wished….
I went back to using the Microham Digikeyer 2 interface.
My plan was to reduce cables and just have the LAN and USB cables connected.
