Cursor

Michael Harris

G'day all,

I've noticed lately that if I enter a call in the logbook entry window call field and subsequently clear it with F11 without logging, the flashing cursor vanishes just leaving the call field highlighted. Clicking anywhere on the log entry window restores it.

Not sure when I first noticed this. Certainly the past weekend of the ARRL CW contest. Search and pounce, enter a call, decide to move on and cancel it with F11, no cursor in the call field. Caught me out a few times. If I clear a call by back spacing all is normal.

The PC is running Win7 and L32 v3.50.381

My backup netbook running v3.50.370 behaves normally, that is, clear a call with F11 and the flashing cursor remains visible in the active call field.

This might just be my main PC, it exhibits a few oddities these days.

Regards,

F-11 doesnt work for me . May be a setup deal but I have always used alt+W and the cursor stays no problemo .

I tend to use Ctrl+C for this with no problems.

Dave, with the RCP open F11 corresponds to one of the macro buttons.

Hi Dave,

Yes I forgot to mention that alt+w works fine. Just not been in the habit of using it until recently.

I have checked the code. If the Data Window is closed and the Sound Card Data Window is closed and the DVK Window is closed and the Radio Control Panel is closed then the Logbook Entry Window is cleared and the focus returns to the Callsign Field. Works as advertised for me. SeventyThree(s).

On the PC that fails to show the cursor in/on the Callsign field after F11 - After the F11, type on the keyboard. Do the typed characters show in the Callsign field? SeventyThree(s).

Apologies for the delay in answering. Been slaving outside replacing a rotator.

Enter a callsign, clear with F11, No cursor, no subsequently typed characters. If I close the radio control panel the cursor is immediately restored and characters can be entered in the callsign field.

Mike VP8NO

The plot thickens. If the Radio Control panel is open, it captures the F11 (as does the CW Machine, the Sound Card Data Window, and the DVK). So, try making the F11 macro on the Radio Control Panel $clearlog$. SeventyThree(s).
