If your are using Logger32 for daily logging you may find the below
interesting.

The link below will take you to a document where I have listed my
workaround to log from JTDX to Logger32 TCP server via JTAlertX and a small
windows utility called Socat which basically converts the UDP ADIF data
sent out for each QSO by JTAlertx to TCP into the Logger32 TCP server.

It may sound a bit complex but just follow the steps and once set up it
works very well. I have been using this seamlessly and without issues for
the past few weeks.

Here is the link to the setup document: https://goo.gl/cHBKhr

I have also attached tit to the email in case it comes through. Hope you
will all enjoy it if you do set it up this way - I for one am having fun
logging straight into Logger32 :)

Prasad thanks so much for this info. i installed it today and it works great! The only thing I noticed is that the State Field is not imported into Logger32. Is that something that can be addressed?

Any news on the progress of a direct interface with wsjt-x without going through layers of software?

Was this the subject of a recent request for testers?

Well spoke to soon...the interface worked for the first two QSO'S and now for some reason no longer logs the contact into Logger32. I can see the activity in the server window but nothing populates in Logger32. The record ends with NACK with leads me to believe something is in error.

ayoshida@...

I am talking about H2S BandMap implemented in next Logger32.

I do not know anything about others.

No idea what H2S Bandmap is. I was under the impression, mistaken perhaps, that a direct link between XSJT-X and L32 to import log info was in development. The JTalert/SOCAT method is an impressive workaround, however, it throws two extra layers of software at the problem.

Hi Mike,

Please make following steps and You will discover all advantages.

·        Start up WSJT-x (there is WSJT-x 1.8.0.0 available to download) on the computer

Install the Beta version of Logger 32 from downloaded ZIP file created by Jim w5ifp here https://www.dropbox.com/s/4uixd0od239u56u/Logger32%20ver3.50.335-53.zip?dl=0

·        Copy unzipped content to Your Logger start directory/folder

·        Start Logger with as administrator

·        Right click on H2S in the lowest bottom line of Logger 32 window

·        Start H2S

·        Right click on opened H2S pane choise settings option and check Allow auto logging (if not already checked.

Work with WSJT-x and time to time check if in Logger 32 is QSO added a second after  pressing of LOG QSO or OK for logging in WSJT-x

No 3rd or 4th sw install needed

And it Works !!!

Yves,
Yes, you can overwrite the released l32.
Jim is going to publish it in the next released official (auto update) Logger32.
I have it already in use and no problem admired by Digital or conventional CW or SSB operation.

Sorry, but I find no mention of H2S at the bottom line of L32, nor do I find it mentioned in the HELP file.

It is called "UDP" now and not "H2S"  Look for "UDP" at lower status bar.
In the latest Help you still see "H2S" and not "UDP". Help will be changed in the next Help release.

The current Helpfile is on the Logger32 release site, as they always have been,  and does reference H2S. A new helpfile will be released soon with the changes to refer to UPD instead of H2S.

I tried to load the beta site mentioned, but it said it was not there. I am running the latest version (automatic release) and could not find mention of H2S or UPD. Please clarify.

Interesting to read all this, however, my L32 (335) is unable to find any update, manual or automatic. First time I've seen this problem.

In auto when the notice about checking for updates eventually pops up, a couple of seconds later the notice of no updates follows. If after that I do a manual check the notice of no updates shows almost instantly after the checking pop up. This may be normal, I don't know, because I have always done manual updates.
