Re: FT8 AUTO LOGGING

Yes Bob, Date header is red. I sort log by date so new contacts are
at bottom. Another thing I notice is after making a FT8 contact, if
I re-enter the callsign, the Previous QSO's window will show the
previous contact. So the contact was logged and to find it I right
clicked on Log and selected search and it will find it.

V4
Tom Wylie
Imported without problem. I had backed up my log to an adif file on a memory stick. V4 installed first time. My log imported exactly. Did a recalc. Everything back to normal. My only glitch was in setting up the cw machine. As I am using an SDR and virtual audio cables and virtual com ports it took me an hour to find the box I hadn't ticked. Now it's all working as normal and all my WAZ, WAS and DXCC are all correct. In fact the programme looks to be the same as the old version, but it shows the correct version number. Tom GM4FDM Now I am waiting for a new version of my SDR software... That might be more problematic. Lol.

Chris, I have no idea how you ended up with all those files in the C:\Program files directory. Is it possible you tried to install the upgrade package in C:\Program files and not C:\Program files\Logger32? 73.

Re: Bind Macros

If you want F1 in the logbook entry window to clear the logbook, then make the F1 macro in the radio control panel $clearlog$.
If you want F2 in the logbook entry window to turn the rotor to short path, then make the F2 macro in the radio control panel $rotator$.
If you want F3 in the logbook entry window to turn the rotor to long path, then make the F3 macro in the radio control panel $rotatorlp$.
Or you can make the radio control panel macros control_x (where x is the key ... like Ctrl_A to turn the antenna. It is all in section 23 of the document. 73

Request if possible
Marc-ON7SS-OO9O
Hi all, It is already since several years that we can choose in the Worked/Confirmed window we can choose, complete log or a specific year. I wonder if we can have something similar for Prefixes. I am more a Prefixhunter that a DXCC hunter. Bob I know with the new version there will be still quit some finetunning to be done. So if my question will take time, don't bother. Migration to V4 was flawless here. Have tried other logging programms before, and occasionaly I test a new/renewed one, but I keep returning to L32. TNX all for the efforts. 73 Marc, ON7SS - OO9O --

Re: Bind Macros
Hello Maybe I didn't explain myself clearly. What I want to do is to bind Fxx keys with hotkeys to use it with the data entry window. I don't want to turn the antenna each time I pick a callsign from the band data,I know that ctrl+A turn the antenna to SP and ALT+A turnt the antenna to LO but I want to use Fxx keys to do that. I wanna know if it is possible because i can't find anything about it into the instructions manual....... Thanks in advance.... 73 de Rick EA4M

Re: Error 424
infosys4u@...
Hi Gary,
Well, sending my message must have scared all the gremlins away. Today it works just fine. Must have been the hard reboot of my computer that cleared out the issue. I was on the ARRL website the other day and was looking up the LOTW info. I clicked on the manual and man......it looked really familiar! Glad you worked on that manual too, you do a real good job at editing and formatting info. Thanks for all your hard work on LOTW and Logger32! 73's, Bob NE0CQ

Re: Problem Starting Logger 32 Version 4.0
Chris Saunders
Thanks Bob. I’ve had a good look & found all the files in my folder; C\ Program files\ Logger32 However several have leaked out to; C \Program files They are CW.exe Logger32.exe (a duplicate of what’s in my folder) Logger32 Rollback.exe QRX.exe ST6UNST.log (this one is titled Logger32 ver 3.5.421 -> ver 4.0.132) There is another ST6UNST.log in my folder titled Logger32 ver 3.50.0
I am loath to move or delete anything without asking first. Now what should I do please?
Cheers Chris G4ZCS

Did you follow the instructions exactly, or did you maybe get a little creative and make a copy of the \Logger32 directory?
I have no doubt they lined up to get that call. It happened once before when I was in Kuwait ... The shit really hit the fan over that :)

Re: Tooltips

Windows gets flakey. If you started Logger on one monitor and drag it to another you may see this. To get logger to start on the same monitor every time you need to click on the minimize button (not the-) at the top right then shut it down and restart. Also you can use shift and the windows button the one of the arrow buttons to move it from screen to screen . Again its a windows issue and not easy to figure out which way to go. I shut down Logger on the monitor I wanted it to open on and now my tool tips are where they should be.

Re: FT8 AUTO LOGGING
I've just upgraded to V4. Went like a dream. No errors except the awards sync one which goes with the territory. Did an award recal' of course. I've no problem with FT8 contacts logged being transferred to my Logger32 log.
