Re: LBP2 - Na3P - WSJT-X

Bob

Jim, the UDP messages between WSJT and Logger32 are how the two programs talk to each other. Also, both WSJT and Logger32 can talk to the radio (but not at the same time) by serial port. Exactly what is the object of the exercise? What do you want to connect to where? SeventyThree(s).

Thanks Bob, well I thought the UDP communication was how they worked in unison but for some reason if I connect only Logger32 to the rig via the LBP2 bridge software, WSJT-X no longer communicates to Logger32. I lose all CAT connections and freq control. So I'm guessing something within LBP2 is the cause. I'll try experimenting a bit more.

As always thanks for your quick reply and help.

Rick, I've Googled around, but can't find any reference to programmatic interfacing to CwGet anywhere. I'm very tempted to simply remove the relavent section from the Help file. SeventyThree(s).

PS. I did find all kinds of personal data about you though. Nice pictures by the way, I made copies for the Chinese facial recognition databases, and also sent them to Rudy and Hunter to deliver to my buddy Fuzzy Bear next time they visit the Ukraine :).

Both are working independent of each other, been trying to get the decode to show up in the Data Terminal CW window.  Is this suppose to work this way?

Did get CWget to decode signals and then highlighted the decoded callsign and with a right click was able select “Call” but it would not populate the Logger32 logging window.

Rick, CwGet doesn't work with Logger32 anymore. I downloaded the new version and right out of the box Logger32 couldn't see CwGet ... The Window caption has changed. Easily fixed, I search for a partial match of caption ... Now I can see the CwGet window again. But I'm not receiving and Windows messages from CwGet ... Does it still interface to N1MM+? Re: Control sound card data window from the radio control panel

Bob

That capability is very limited (mostly to protect the user from self inflicted injury). You can, however, do things in reverse order. On the Sound Card Data Window create a macro to select the $mmvarimode xx$ AND command the radio to whatever frequency/mode/settings that are appropriate for that mode. The $command, or $hexcommand, macro is common to almost all windows that accept macros. SeventyThrree(s).

$mmvarimodexx$ is a Sound Card Data Window Macro. In the Help Window, select the SEARCH tab. Type MACROS and <ENTER>. Scroll down to Section 3.0. Take your pick. SeventyThree(s).

Re: LBP2 - Na3P - WSJT-X

Jim, too much stuff, way too much stuff ... You said:  What I can't get to work is using WSJT-X through Logger32 which I was able to do prior to this

WSJT & Logger32 do not talk to each other by serial port. Either WSJT controls the radio or Logger32 controls the radio. Or, as in my configuration, neither has radio control. WSJT & Logger32 talk to each other by UDP messages on port 2237. Unless LP-PAN-2 and/or Na3P has locked down port 2237, Logger32 and WSJT should be blissfully unaware of all your stuff. SeventyThree(s).

This is a feature of Windows.  By default it will install setting OneDrive as the default directory for data files.  To avoid this, during the installation process you have to choose the option when presented  (I forget the exact wording) to install the data directories on the local computer.

Hope this helps.

Re: Fldigi - Logger Issue

Wolf..

When the gateway minimizes it minimizes to the clock area of the taskbar. If using Windows 10 click the little up arrow and you will see it’s icon. Click on it to open the window back up again.

I’m not sure what has changed in Fldigi to cause that At the moment I cannot work on the current version of the gateway. The current xmlrpc dll file does not work on my windows 10 system and I need to re-write the gateway in vb.net so I can bring the controls up to date. I really do not have time at the moment to do any programming so this is going to have to wait a bit..

Hi all & Craig,

same problem here since I updated FLDIGI from version 4.0.16 to 4.1.08 - only "PSK" instead of "PSK31" in log, no rapports. Sometimes the gateway doesn't connect at all and has to be closed and restarted, sometimes it takes some minutes until it links , turning the tuning knob of my trx or clicking "tune" in fldigi seems to accelerate this.
Once running, it's stable. The gateway program goes to background, it's not possible to do the setup, I had to edit the L32FldigiGateway.ini file directly.
I'm happy it still runs, because I like the logger32 - fldigi combination.
