Steve, go thru the help area again, as alot of what your asking is in there. That is the ? on the top right hand corner of the screen and then do a search. This brings up all the topics covered. Then we can go from there. de Ray. _____________

STATS for digital QSOs
Ed Warren <ewarren@...>
I am fairly new to Logger and VERY new to digital (RTTY) QSOs. I have noticed that while such QSOs are OK on the Logbook Page, they do not appear anywhere when reviewing STATS or AWARDS. If I "edit" the notation in the Logbook from RTTY to CW the QSO shows up in the STATS and if I edit it back to RTTY, it vanishes from STATS - Any Pointers?
Thanks, Ed

Re: STATS for digital QSOs
Hello Ed,
Very possibly you need to modify your Bandplan from the default that the program comes with. If so, go to help (?), then search, and type bandplan. Click on the subject for the details. Instructions are easy to follow. Hope thats all it is. 73's de AI3Q --- In hamlogger@egroups.com, Ed Warren <ewarren@g...> wrote: I am fairly new to Logger and VERY new to digital (RTTY) QSOs. Go to the CONFIGURE icon in the lower taskbar at the top of the screen. Open it and check the DIGITAL MODES box. It is likely blank. Add in RTTY and click OK. That should solve your problem. 73, Rick VE7ASR

Data Modes
Raffaele.Sogno@...
Dear Hamloggers
I'm using Logger since 2 days, therefore three short questions: 1. Whats a GOLIST and what can I do with together with Logger? I've seen in the help, that is is possible to use a TNC to do CW. In the DATA-Windows I have seen other modes like Amtor- PKtor a.s.o. 2. Is it possible to use for these other modes a TNC too? If not, which hardware (or perhaps software) is necessary to work these modes. 3. For what is the Zakanaka Soundcard digital software used? PSK31? Others? Is "only" an interface to this software in Logger integrated or the full software (if no where is the software available)? How to setup Zakanaka? Best regards Raffaele HB9UAG

Hello,

Many possibilities exist. I'm using (by me) simplest way - export from Excel as CSV file (commas separated value) than import it to YPLOG (www.nucleus.com/~field - shareware version is sufficient) and export as ADIF. Very reliable and easy. 73 Josef OK2WO

DXCC countries list & ADIF nr.
Dave <dlavelli@...>
Hi All,
I am using logger since release 6.07 and then I upgraded step by step to 7.03. Unfortunately, in my DXCC countries list there are no ADIF numbers, so I wonder if some one can send me an updated list to overwrite the old one, if I need to download the full version Logger file or I need to digit ADIF numbers one by one (I got the list from ADIF web page). Thank you for any help, 73, Dave.

Dave I'm a bit confused?
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
If you go to MAINTenance icon and open up the list and click on a DXCC country you will open it up and in the 2nd line it should list the ADIF number. It's below the white data line and accompanies the right-most check box. For example -- for 3D2 it says "ADIF Country number 176 Check to modify". If this is the case close the window by clicking the X in the upper right and all is well. If this isn't the case I guess you have a corrupted file and need to modify your installation. Perhaps a FULL install rather than an update is required. (Make sure you backup all your log info!!) Good luck! 73, Rick VE7ASR

Logger and VHF bands
Ciepielowski Tomasz <spccc@...>
Hi
I'm a new user of a Logger. I like it very much. Looks for me better than Dx4Win. There is a one disadvantage of a Logger - lack of VHF bands logging. Can somebody tell me how to add this function? I use 144, 432, 1296 MHz bands. Tom SP5CCC

Re: Logger and VHF bands
Fred Decker <fdecker@...>
Tom,
You are using a European font that can cause problems for some people or at the least, a 15 minute download to display the "Pan-European" character set. Can you change to a normal font, just for email? And make sure you are sending as "text-only"? If not, this will alert people to what is going on with your email, they may be able to just hit "cancel" to any dialogs and either read the text of the message. If anyone CAN'T read his messages if they don't load the new font, let me know. Fred N4IXL

I believe (others more knowledgeable please jump in here) that to use the Kam Plus in dual mode requires software that runs in KISS mode. Logger does not operate in this mode. 73, Rick VE7ASR
