Yes 73 means all the best.
But for me here HR5/F2JD, any station without the (WSJT) 73 is without confirmation so.... NOT in the LOG

my 2 cents for you...
Simply "Double click" any callsign in jtdx whenever you want to call him.
It works even if it is in Cherry-picking/Manual calling mode of course.

73 is not a confirmation.
A confirmation is QSL or cfm.
73 means all de best.

Ian, I'm not sure what you're asking for. I haven't checked, but I suspect WSJT always prompts the user to log the QSO (In Logger32 there is a user option which overrides the popup window if so

If a change is made, I request that the automatic logging of qso, not acknowledged, be user selectable. I do not want to log a qso unless it has bee confirmed by a 73.

You of course can log anyway you wish, BUT you will never work a contest since they don’t generally say 73. A contact is made when signal reports are given and acknowledged. Nothing more for

I may be a purist, but I believe if you do not receive a 73 the contact is invalid. I do not log it so the DX station will not get confirmation of the call.
