Open the CW Machine, right click on the top left button. A window opens. In the "Button Caption" field type F1 now click the apply button. SeventyThree(s).

Paul, they are actually the F1 and F12 columns of macro buttons, just labelled as such in the picture to show the keyboard short cuts. 73 John - G7SSE

Cluster colors...
Jim Dawson
Since the last update, when I do a SH/WWV in the cluster window the results are in a very pale lime green color that I can barely read. I cannot find where to change that color. It used to be black. Anyone else have the problem? Maybe a solution please.
Thanks,
Jim K9DD.

Re: Logger32 on XP
Bruce (VE3GBC)
My quest to find the last version for Windows XP that supports UDP is turning into an exercise in frustration.
I'm starting to go around in circles. I have been told to use v3.50 for XP, but v3.50.0 doesn't support WSJT-X and UDP (I've tried it) even though SP2EWQ says "v.3.50 knows well how to operate WSJt-X" As I noted in a previous post, I understand that version 3.50.337 added support for WSJT-X and was updated in version 3.50.367 (from http://w4.vp9kf.com/logger32_history.htm) but I can't find any of the later 3.50.XXX versions for download. I have tried to download v3.50.424 from here https://en.freedownloadmanager.org/Windows-PC/Logger32-FREE.html where it claims "The version of Logger32 you are about to download is 3.50.424" however the actual version is 3.50.0 which does not support UDP (I've tried it). I am told older versions are available at www.logger32.net under “Old programs” however all I see there are "Old Logger32 Upgrade Versions" and not specific versions. Further, after installing v3.50.0 I tried "Version 3.5 to 3.6" and this did not work on my XP machine. Although the program ran, there were a number of functions that did not work, including the "Help/Version" (it did not report any version). The links "Old Versions" and "Old Programs" on the Logger32 web site seem to point to the same page. On the web site (https://www.logger32.net/program.html), I see a heading "Logger32 Version 4.0 upgrade from Version 3.50.421" but how does one find v3.50.421 ? Even more confusing, IK2AGX tells me he is running v4 on XP (virtual), but I am also told v4 doesn't run on XP. I actually tried v4 and it failed to run. To be clear, I do realise that I am trying to utilize old, unsupported versions of Windows and Logger32, so I am pushing my luck. My XP computer is successfully running WSJT-X v2.1.2 and JTAlert 2.11.5. I make contacts with it every day. Adding Logger32 would "enhance" the operation. While I do have other Windows 7 and 10 computers, I don't want to dedicate any of them to FT8. Like many hams, I like to exhaust all options before giving up. So my friends, can anyone point me to a SPECIFIC location to download v3.50.367 or higher? Thank you 73, Bruce VE3GBC

Bruce,
I don't know, just checked here and it works on my virtual machine. If you tell me your email address I can send you latest update release of version 3.50 that is 3-50-424. Beware, it is just the .exe file to be copied into an already installed version 3-50 73, Dave

Re: Granted Highlight
g4girhb0 <ian.frith@...>
Thanks Pete,
But as I said "I have the Credit Highlight selected in the Setup Highlight menu"!
However, I have solved the problem, by using my config file from another configuration that worked ok.
So the other config file was a dud.

Is that something that is already coded, but I have missed? That will be a 'Yes', then! Nice. I never knew I could do that... Thanks, Bob. John G4DRS

If you have the radio control panel open (and the CW machine, sound card data window, digital voice keyer all closed) type the function key that is applicable to your macro. Function keys typed on the logbook entry window are redirected to the windows mentioned above. SeventyThree(s).

I can’t find where to change to Administrator mode. And I’ll look into Norton Security as that is the anti security on my laptop. Thanks. Clifford. EI5FQB

Enhancement Request - CTRL-T macro
John, G4DRS
Bob,
One day, when you are bored and need something to occupy your time, is it possible to have the CTRL-T toggle programmable, so that it can run a macro instead of just the global capture? When I switch between radio 1 and radio 2, I click a macro button on the RCP: On the Radio 1 RCP, the macro is: $radio2$ $slaveportopen$ $slaveportsync$ $clearlog$ whilst on the RCP for radio 2 it is: $slaveportclose$ $radio1$ $clearlog$ If I use the CTRL-T global capture keystroke, it only swaps radios, without all the other stuff. It's just me being lazy, or maybe it's muscle memory, but I keep reaching for CTRL-T then realising that I need to click the macro button. It would be nice if I could achieve the same macro functionality by pressing CTRL-T without having to use the mouse. It's not high priority, but maybe one day...? Cheers, John G4DRS
