Re: Granted

Hello Gary,

Yes I have done the Club log sync, before I tried the scraper and it doesn't up date the QSO's only the latest new granted QSO's,

For instance on 160m L32 shows 14 QSO's Granted out of 141 Countries confirmed. 141 is my awarded total on 160m. Clublog shows the same, 141 C and 14 V.

So looks like Club Log isn't getting the info from LOTW?

My 30m Total was only 17 Granted, in L32, aafter modifying the ARRL scraper file and importing to L32 I now have 239 G and 273 C, so I guess the missing 34 are old QSO's which LOTW has no Call details for, therefore I guess its a manual trawl through?

As for the ARRL SCRAPER.EXE, I tried to find a newer version but nothing, Is it an ARRL file or Bobs or ?

Cheers

I’m not sure how I got it, but mine is 7 months old:

Aside from using an ancient ARRL Scraper, have you tried the Club Log route, Ian?  In essence:

  1. Get your log reasonably up-to-date in Club Log
  2. Trigger Club Log’s LoTW Sync function … and QRX a little while for it to grab the info and update your Club Log log accordingly
  3. Use Logger32’s File → Synchronize LoTW (from Club Log)  function to get the info from Club log and update your local log

Overall it is quicker and more reliable than the Scraper approach for me i.e. about 30 mins to get all my ~61k LoTW confirmations:

A lot of the QSO's have no Call Signs in the down loaded file due to the Paper Submissions back in the 70's/80's so understand that but others should be ok.

Rick, thanks for pointing e in the right direction. I had been running L32 in administrator mode. With both programs running in same mode they play nice. Is there any dis/advantage to running Logger as administrator?

What version of Logsync are you running??

Is Logger32 running using the Run as Administrator setting?? If it is then Logsync needs to run with that setting also.

If Logsync is running using the Run as Administrator setting and Logger32 is not then you need to turn it off for Logsync.

If it is not one of those then check your anti-virus software it’s the only things that can stop the programs from talking to each other..

When I try to get LogSynch to access Logger32 to create an ADIF to upload to LOTW or to process and upload, I get the error message that L32 needs to be running. This occurs regardless of the order in which I load the programs, L32 first Synch second or the reverse. I don't understand why Synch thinks L32 isn't running. Any thoughts?

Re: Starting JTDX from L32 closes a serial port in radio control #ft8 #serial'

No. Logger32 closes/relinquishes radio control to JTDX. Isn't the simple solution to your problem to have a single radio port configured? That was a rhetorical question, you configure it anyway you like. SeventyThree(s).

In my case I have both radio ports (IC-7610, USB emulated COM and CAT COM) active and connected to a PC - one is configured for JTDX, the second for L32 radio control, both can read Freq/mode/control independently
When I start JTDX from L32, it closes the radio port, so I need to open it back every time.

P.S. I read page 266 statement:
• Allow JTAlert to set Logger32 band/mode: if you change band or mode in the digimode software, Logger32 follows suit, provided Logger32’s radio port is closed so that the digimode software can open its CAT connection to control the radio.
but the question is how to disable this feature.

You are quit right, the TCP/IP port number is a 16 bit unsigned number, hence it must be in the range 1 to 65535 (port number 0 is invalid).
