That’s odd Jan…..

You did put in the hh mm as hours and minutes like this for 14:55 ????

$hexcommand FE FE 94 E0 1A 05 00 95 14 55 FD$    clock set

Hi Bob, on the Icom 7300 it is possible to set the time and date via the CAT command. The function of setting the clock on the radio using computer system time is useful, given the problems with the clock battery on the IC-7300.  For me, the problem is how to extract the current system time in a suitable format so that it can be built into the hex command which I could then send to the station. At the moment I use a small script for this outside the Logger, but I have to do it before starting Logger, because Logger locks the com port for its communication with the radio.

Speaking of the Icom 7300, there is a possibility via the CAT command to start Voice memory from the station. This possibility is not documented in the manual (but it is documented in the manual off, I think IC 7610), it works perfectly on 7300. Now I use it by sending hex command using RCP panel, but it would be nice if it will be possible via DVK panel, for which it is intended.

Re: Old Logger 32 Dependency

I upgraded under Beta conditions using the suggested Logger32_40 route to "preserve a working copy of v3.50" and entered a small world of pain as errors kept popping up. You will have to systematically scan through your Logger32 INI file and correct any paths which point to the old Logger32 folder. Just adding the _40 bit does the job.

Good morning,

Thank you all for your attention.

I know that clock synchronization is in background. But after about 10 minutes after opening Logger 32,
the clock is 99% of the time late. When I don't manually sync after startup.

I know this because I use WSJT in FT8 and start to see the delay in the messages.

Yes, I always open Logger as an Administrator. And currently I always synchronize the clock manually when opening the program.

Sorry if I didn't make myself clear earlier. If there is still any doubt I am available.

This script is not Linux specific, it is written in Python which is also supported under Windows. You just have to change the script to use Windows serial port, ex. COM1: instead of /dev/ttyUSB0.

It won’t be possible via hamlib CAT as those commands are not supported in hamlib.  It could might be done via the RCP, but Bob would have to add a variable to get the computer’s system clock for RCP’s use and then you could manually write a command to send that to the radio via your radio’s computer command set.  Notice the length of the list of types of radio, a different command is required for each type radio.

You should be able to see the rotator position on your Logger32 screen, both on the map and with a movable window showing the degrees.

Take a look at chapter 41 (page 591) of the help manual (https://www.logger32.net/files/Logger32_v4_User_Manual.pdf)

Hello all

I'm wondering if L32 has a rotator window. I manage a prosistel and I can't see in the screen of my computer the position of antennas unless i look to the rotator control box.

Any help?

Thanks

Since some transceivers have a time of day clock display, I suggest adding an option to synchronize the rig's clock to the computer clock. This is separate from synchronizing the logging computer time via NTP or the Windows time set feature. Setting the rig clock could be done when Logger32 starts, on demand, or at regular intervals.

This suggestion definitely falls in the "nice to have" category. However, such a feature would avoid manual settings or fiddling with utility programs.  -- de Wes AC8JF

Hi Aki... You couldn't put the flea in my ear in time... that I was already there riding the problem was actually given by that... I had probably made a new link to the program and the link was not properly instructed to run as an administrator... a note in this regard HOW TO DELETE THE CONFIRMATION REQUEST at the launch of the program in the hypothesis to use the same link RUNNING AUTOMATICALLY?

 Greetings as always 599!!  Steve

Hi.. a question but what problem is there with the failure to auto-update from v. 4,0,243 as no lawsuit is named with poup-ups etc.

I point out that I installed everything from the official until v4.00 everything ok with the first updates then regularly downloads this update, but can not install it.. some straight, because here I can never information, thank you.

Sorry.. I solved it myself, ascertained from the auto-update progress text file, that the program had been somehow downloaded .. remains to know what was the cause of the missed run.. I pulled up from the ROLLBACK directory the files of the v.4,0,244 and it is now working then regularly updated this morning to ,245. Sorry about the inconvenience it could also be that I smoked a manual input with all the psychopathic protections of this S.O. that unnecessarily stresses the user just to go and urinate.

Stay up to date.. but above all AWAKE!!
