You have to set the baud and port to match the rig . Baud can be anything you want as long as the rig and the rig baud rate in logger match  .

Re: Strange occurrance

Malcolm Bosher

Thank you John and Bob for your help.

Deleting the QSO and importing the ADIF file made no difference.

Right clicking on the QSO and clicking the top menu option did change it to the current time correctly.

What I have now done to correct the problem with this QSO is to set the seconds to something other than "00".

The other strange thing was with the wrong display on the logbook page the previous QSO page was displaying the correct time.

I don't know what happened yesterday as I just logged the QSO in the normal way.

Once again thank you both for your help.

I bet you have “dB reports to comments” set under F2 Settings → Reporting

Look in the settings of your FT8 software, under the "Reporting" tab, under "Logging"; "dB reports to comments"

This is then transferred to the comments field of your Logger32 logbook.

Maybe because the time is actually logged to the second (even if you choose to show it to the nearest minute). You might try editing the time to 00:06:00. Personally, I'd be far more interested to know how/where/why the QSO was logged with an end time of 00:06. SeventyThree(s).

John,

I would imagine your friend needs to run Logger32 as administrator.

However, it’s more normal to use a dedicated program like dimension4 to set the system clock when using those fancy digital modes.
Cheers.

…. Perhaps we should publish the instructions on Logger32.net somewhere, in due course – plus a hyperlink to the full User Manual for anyone who wants to read all about Logger32 without necessarily installing it.

Re: How do I install help files on logger32?

Hi Mike.

Yes, you can do that ... but browsers generally take you to a locally-cached version anyway ... which means I ought to add a note about manually refreshing the page if the manual you are reading is out of date.

While I'm at it, I'll expand on how to link from the Help menu to a local file. It already mentions that you might like to link to, say, the user manual/technical guide for your radio in this way. The URL (URI) syntax for local disk files can be a little tricky though.

At some point we still plan to split the User Manual into separate files for each section, or possibly each chapter, but I'm not sure how to do so without breaking all the internal cross-references which, at present, point to other sections in the same file.

Please bear with us caller, your business is important to us but we are a little busier than normal in Customer Service. You are mumble-mumble in the queue.
