The only user option that controls this is to right click on the DX Spots window. Click SETUP | APPEARANCE. Check the option IF THE FIRST WORD OF COMMENTS IS A MODE, USE IT. SeventyThree(s).

Can you suggest me where to try to check in order to solve that issue?
Where/what can be the issue?

I add that the issue seems to not be related with which Radio I use because it happens with 2 different radio.

Thanks.

Re: duplicate spots in DX Spots window

A perfect visual of total folly of DX Clusters. Sort of the Ham Radio equivalent of an obsessive hoarder. The only thing missing are the almost mandatory 'Goooal!' and 'Bingooo!' comments.

Paul, it appears you are connected to an aggregator that is not filtering their spots. Right click on the DX Spots window. Click SETUP | DX SPOT BLOCKING ...  Select the DUPES tab. Are the upper two checkboxes checked?

Also, back to the DXSpot window. Right click. Click SETUP | APPEARANCE and check the option to ENABLE OVERWRITE OF VISIBLE DUPLICATE DX SPOTS.

I know the problem is on my end, not the clusters'.

There are a lots of "strange data" from LoTW.

This is not issue in Logger32.

You have to check one-by-one manually.

Strange data:

QSO with wrong Date 1945/01/01 etc

QSO with No Mode etc

I suppose they were very busy to input large number of QSL records manually.

So they ignored some fields like Band, Mode, DXCC number etc and input specific

QSO Date like 1945-01-01 etc

This cause problem for Logger32 to update credit flag . You need select proper QSO

in your Logbook when Logger32 can not find QSO.

Granted is not a status that downloads from LOTW.  You have to go through a Clublog sync, assuming Clublog keeps track of Challenge.

Hi,

I'm sorry if this has been raised before. I have searched the archives but haven't found anything.

I've recently become active on 23cm and have taken part in a couple of local contests. On that band the grid square is required to be shown with 8-character accuracy, eg RE66ij78. The 6-character version does not give enough accuracy for scoring.

With Logger32 I find that I can set one of the User fields to allow 8-character input and I can set the type to Gridsquare, but if I enter 8 characters the entry that appears in the logbook is truncated to the first 6 chars. Also, if I later try to modify the entry in the logbook page I get 'Invalid gridsquare' and the update is rejected. Is there any way around this, or is it a bug in the program? Today locators are defined up to 10 characters.
