Thanks Rob. If nothing else, it was a good excuse to buy a big bottle of Grouse :)

Re: Band Change Aerial Switch

Jim Hargrave

Julian,

The FT-920 remembers the Antenna last used on band-x and will switch built-in A/B antennas to the last used band setting.

My FT 920 is setup to switch to antenna B when 6M is selected and antenna A for the TH6DXX beam on 20/15 and 10M

This is easy to set up…. manually select the antenna for each band and it will remember.

I know this will be a JTDX Group issue but I am not a member and it's probably been addressed before so apologies.
I have an FT920 with beam on Ant-A and wire on Ant-B, when switching bands on JTDX control panel (and stand alone jtdx) the ant switch on the rig remains on Ant-A so has to be switched manually. I can't find any reference to Aerial switching in any of the documentation so I wonder if this has come up before (I guess it must have) ?

Re: Trying to load logger

Did you upgrade from V3 to V4 while doing this?
The new version uses a different database engine and is not backwards compatable.
You need to expert your V3 log as an ADIF file, then import this into V4.

If your using the same version, then I don’t have a clue.

I’ve discovered that the JTDX Control Panel only works (for me) if I follow this sequence:

1.       Open the UDP BandMap.

2.       On the UDP BandMap menu, click Config -> Show JTDX Control Panel

3.       On the UDP BandMap menu, click Start -> JTDX … and wait for it to launch fully (it needs at least 8 seconds on my system so I have configured it to wait 10 seconds).

Now I can click the JTDX Control Panel buttons to change bands or modes: JTDX and the radio change quickly although the JTDX control panel button coloring takes a second or two to catch up.

If instead I start JTDX from its desktop icon, the JTDX Control Panel shows Control Panel not connected and doesn’t work.  Also, if I start JTDX before opening the JTDX Control Panel, the control panel looks OK (no red warning) but doesn’t work.

Yes, you should be able to open the Control Panel either before or after, as long as JTDX was started from the bandmap.
