Paul..
Nothing has changed are you sure you are using the latest version?? I am working on a way to try and speed the process up but that version has not been released yet..In versions previous to the last one you had to tick the message box to mark them as sent but in the latest version you should not need to answer yes to that box and the flags will be changed when they are actually updated..

Hi all
When I upload a QSO through L32 LogSynch, it is not updated as sent on the log page, even though it really is sent.
This used to work flawlessly. I now have to manually tick off the "Send LoTW QSL", and tick on the "LoTW QSL sent".
I have re-installed L32 LogSynch, no change.
Both programs talk to each other.

Unless I am a sleep-walker, I have not changed anything in the configuration.
Any idea ?
Thanks + 73

The cluster node you are trying to connect to could be down.

Try another and see if you can connect.

If needed, refer to Help file section - 3.7.2 Setup Remote hosts.

Here are some other nodes you can try;

PA4JJ-2    83.162.186.242    7300

OK!

I fixed it! There was some thing weird going on in my PC!

When i searched in the Browse button in the Utilities setup It took me to a empty Logsync.exe?
I renamed the Logsync directory to Logsyncc with two C's, And then Browsed to that .
I t found the right .exe file and all is working now.

Thanks for your help

Re: Cannot install Logger32 on a new machine - Runtime error 5 - Invalid Procedure call or argument

Robert Rounds

UPDATE - Every time I try the new installation process a copy of st6unst.exe appears in the Windows directory. There are currently 11 copies of this in the Windows directory, but only one shows an icon next to it which let me view the properties and I found out this is the VB6 Setup Toolkit uninstaller. Since I don't have VB6 installed on my machine I think I'm going to run it, delete all the copies from the Windows directory, and try a new install of Logger32. I'm not sure of the possible consequences of doing this, so if anyone can offer some useful feedback it would be appreciated.

Re: Cannot install Logger32 on a new machine - Runtime error 5 - Invalid Procedure call or argument

Bob

Works for me. I downloaded the full install zip file onto the desktop. Double clicked on it. Double clicked on SETUP.EXE. No voodoo required, just four mouse clicks. 73.

I deleted them, but I'm really puzzled why it won't install and why the files are showing up in the Windows directory and my extracted files folder.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: problem with logging QSO's from JTDX

Further to my last, this has indeed cured it.

Many thanks, Bob - as usual, operator error is the culprit!

Logging from JTDX has now resumed (I'll not make that mistake again)

Re: problem with logging QSO's from JTDX

Hi Bob,
Ahh - that text comes from JTDX, no mention of string length there. I will change that right now. Hopefully, that will cure it.

73, Sean - G4UCJ

Re: problem with logging QSO's from JTDX

Bob

Sean, the first thing that jumps out at me is the TX_PWR field of <TX_PWR:17>5W + 5 ELE AT 6M. The ADIF spec calls for a power in Watts with a value greater than 0. And, internally, Logger32 only allows for 10 characters (you have 17). Change the entry to simply 5 (without the W). SeventyThree(s).

The ADIF spec calls for a power in Watts with a value greater than 0.

If I try UDP, the QSO disappears - JTDX logs it to its own file but the entry never propagates to Logger.

Attached are the dupe error message and config screens from JTDX

The PC is an i7 3770, 16GB RAM, Win10 (latest version). The hardware is all OK - I've tested every piece of it :)

This has really confused me (that is not too difficult though!).

Sean,

I see that there has been another issue reported with a similar description. Perhaps this might be related to your issue.
