Ok I found all my stuff. If you want to email me direct if you still need the program and a registration key.
its n8dc-8@....
Be advised you have to go thru some stuff to get your log into logger 32. I havent found an easy conversion program for a MDB to a ADIF as of yet . They say you can load it into office then export it as a CSV bit I dont have office on this or any of my machines right now. I will have later.

I don't have ms office enterprise 2007 on any of my 3 W10-64 machines and they are all running L32 , no problems .

L32 was installed functionally on my notebook (Win10, 64 bit) a long time ago. Now I wanted to do a complete new installation with a current L32 version, which I am not able to do because Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 is being searched for at the beginning of the installation process.

But this Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 is no longer on the notebook since I switched to win365.

For this reason the L32 installation is obviously not possible.

I hope someone is able to give me a tip on how to solve the problem.

Many tnx in advance.

As far as I remember, the only ADIF that existed within DXbase was the LotW ADIF which was very limited, but I could be wrong on this.

The good thing about DXbase (and mostly unknown) is that it used MS Access DB Engine although an very old version as its database. If You have MS Access installed on the PC You can read the old database and have access to all the records. However DO NOT upgrade the database when MS Access suggest it on loading as this gives You problems later on.

The relation data model used by DXbase is quite simple, however it can not be directly mapped to ADIF/L32 data model. A couple of issues that come to my mind are handling of QSL managers, mail addresses and that counties are named different.

I converted a number of DXbase installations to ADIF files for myself and local friends years ago, at the time I had access to FME software where we wrote an workbench for the task. A few of these was the same situation as Yours, machine crash and no DXbase installation/license files, but we was able the recover/copy the database file off the disk which we converted to ADIF.

OK...I had the same problem this morning. L32.exe is being seen as a virus. Copying a back-up version into the L32 directory will not help. You MUST put the Logger32.exe on your virus checker exception list.

Regarding false positive virus reports.
M$hit Defender is over reacting. Not for the first time.
It claims "Trojan:Win32/Azden.B!cl" detected what is b$.
Google for "
Trojan:Win32/Azden.B!cl" and you will see how many people with different software or games had that issue in past few years.
If you are not sure, there is website https://www.virustotal.com to check.

That is why it is necessary for you to add an exception to your AV program. Then the AV program will stop checking the file when you go to execute it.

Hi Joe,

The simplest way to accomplish those changes Is:

Type the frequency in the “Call” box of the Log Entry window and press <Enter>

This will cause Logger32 to look up the frequency in the Bands and Mode chart. It will then set the frequency, Band and Mode

Now enter the callsign you want to log and it will update the window with any other info desired based on your QSO Mask.

You may occasionally have to make some changes due to overlap in the Bands and mode listing.

Verify the data and press <Enter> to log the QSO.

BTW, 3.50.410 has just been released.

Jim, I need some help if you have the time. I have version 3.50.408 of logger 32. My issue is in the logging box. I am forever changing the Freq, mode and band. So I click on the freq, lets say 20m but I want to log a 80m qso.

When I click on the freq, a  box appears where I make all my changes and hit apply. My question, is there an easier way to change the freq, band and mode? My be with Macros?

And I don't have radio control.  Thanks in advance for your help.    Joe  W8GEX

Ive got the virus too. See my '410 being deleted message. Its NOT the need to ignor Logger32.exe problem.
Ive replaced exe five V410 with V409 (roll back) for now

Re: Vertion 410 keeps being deleted

Just tried to update on another PC McAfee stoped it and said there was a virus 'Suspect!6387ec80de0a'
I copied vertion 409 exe file on that PC and that works OK

Vertion 410 keeps being deleted

DamianM0BKV

Hi Not sure if its my PC but the vertion 410 that I shut down last night only the Logger32.exe file was deleted this morning I replaced it with vertion 409 and no problems but if I reinstall the update then it deletes the exe file as it installs and does not complete the installation. Now the rollover has vertion 410 not 409 which will not install. had to get a vertion 409 from another PC which works fine. I just cant update as this wipes the new vertion

Thanks for your replies, but unfortunately this does not help very much.

I am able to install full version 3.50.0, but not the following updates.

I'm always making "full backup" before exiting Logger 32, so I tried to retrieve old QSO.
I followed the procedure to unzip in Logger32 folder, but my log remains blank. I've lost all QSO and do not know how to get them back...

Re: For Linux expert

Hello,

few years ago I also tried using WINE, but it ended up in a waste of time.

After several configuration I was finally able to get L32 up and running but I faced two issues:

- Dates were written as a long number (dunno what it was)

- I experienced a lot of crashes when trying to change columns order in logbook (for example).

At that time I also opened a couple of bug issues on wine but never got an answer.

I never tried more complex things like CAT

I ended up using Win on my radio PCs while leaving linux to other machines in my little network.

Just few days ago I was thinking to try again, but as I read your post I decided to maintain my config.

Ciao

For the moment, it doesn't work. The installation is blocked (see screenshot). Someone has already run Logger32 with the wine emulator?
