Do you have plan in near (very near..hi hi) future to update CW machine so it will do CW trough USB in such radios that provide such capability?

Please Help: Logger 32 Stopped Working

Bob, Thank you ever so much for your input. I had my "computer guru" over. He did exactly what you said to do, and it worked!!! I'm back to my old version, and it seems to be running OK. Since I'm planning to buy a new computer very soon (I currently use a laptop with Windows 7 and need one with Windows 10) we'll install the latest version of Logger 32 into the new machine. That way it will be a "clean" install. Once again thanks for your reassuring words (yes, I was panicking) and your sage advise. 73,  Mitch KI4TSI

Bob,

Your additional suggestions came up while I was trying alternatives and typing.  I tried your first suggestion and it seems to have done the trick.  I will look over the second one and try that later.   Meanwhile, please don't let the WSJT people even know about me.

Happy Thanksgiving and good DXing.

It just dawned on me to try DIG.  That works, and now there is a column called DIG.  In my case, it means FT8 and RTTY are both digital.  Ah well.

Jan, pay close attention or I will post on the WSJTX reflector that their moderator is a Logger32 user ... Do I have your attention now? I have posted detailed destructions on what you need to do to get FT8 it's own column in the Worked/Confirmed Window. I have also posted another message that provides an alternative offering that allows you to visualize FT8 want/need for every decoded callsign. This is your last chance. Screw up one more time and I'll post on the WSJTX reflector that not only are you a Logger32 user, but you prefer JTDX :) Happy Thanksgiving.

It includes many new digital modes, but FT-8 and FT-4 are not among
them.  Can you suggest what mode I should use?

the price tag of thousands to multi thousands for a TNC would scar my
cheapskate soul.  Couldn't they have put some of the old versions into
the public domain?  I mean, did you realize that there are people who

Hi Larry..
Make sure you check your paths to L32Lookups.exe if Logger32 can find it should load it. It could also be a privilege thing. Are you running Logger32 using the Run as Administrator setting?? If so the the Lookup needs to be run using the same setting..

Re: FT8 in worked/confirmed

... or, if you really want to include FT8 in your overall digital stats, you can click CONFIG on the UDP BandMap. and UNcheck the option HIGHLIGHT CALLS/GRIDS AS 'DIG' MODE. This doesn't give you an FT8 column on the Worked/Confirmed Window, but highlight colors and tooltip text on the UDP BandMap reflect Want/Need for FT8. SeventyThree(s).

... and somewhere between version 3.50.367 and 3.50.403 there was a database change to support the ADIF MODE/SUBMODE concept. As part of the update, a Recalculation of Statistics was required. If/when you are able to get Logger32 running again (regardless of which version), I recommend you Recalculate your logbook stats. SeventyThree(s).

Re: L32LogSync

Hi Jim
Instead of trying to guess at why you are getting the no response from LogSync. If you would do this. Open Logsync by itself use explorer and mode to the directory where it is install and double click on it. When it opens up click on the top menu Info then select Debug then Debug On.
Now close LogSync. While you are in the same directory as LogSync delete the file called DebugLog.txt if it is located in the directory.

Now Load Logger32 as you normally would and open LogSync. ( I usually add logsync to one of the utility menus so I load LogSync via a menu option. After it loads and it stops responding close LogSync out. Now in the directory where LogSync is installed there will be a file called DebugLog.txt send that to me as an attachment...

As for TQSL Do you have that loaded into a utility menu that is auto started when Logger32 loads?? If so stop the auto loading.

As for the Station signing window I would need a screenshot of the window to determine where its coming from. I am guessing that you have not setup a station location in TQSL and Logsync is telling you that you need to select one from LogSyncs dropdown window for you to tell the program which location file you want to use.

Send me the DebugLog file and we will go from there..

If FT8 is defined as a digital mode, then the answer to your question is no. If FT8 is NOT defined as a digital mode, then it will have its own column in the worked/confirmed window. SeventyThree(s).

Is there a way to put FT8 as a column in worked/confirmed, similar to the PSK column?  I already have FT8 entered for 40 meters in the Bands & Modes chart, but this did not result in a column in worked/confirmed.
