Re: Help! L32 not showing split frequencies

Bob

I have absolutely no idea how an IC7610 CI-V works, but have you setup your radio configuration in Logger32 to actually read VFO-B? SeventyThree(s).

I have no idea what options other logging programs offer/provide to log split frequency, but do this: On the Radio Control Panel, right click on the header (it is at the right of the window to save precious screen space). Click the LOGGING FREQUENCY SETUP menu option. There are several options there that may suit your needs. If not, let me know exactly what you want, and I'll put it on the (very long) wish list. SeventyThree(s).

ADI Log Export

Michael Harris

An interesting occurrence.

I routinely export my log in .adi form. I've just noticed that a few days ago the file was 10,412KB, a few days later the it was 20,860KB and the latest 10,439KB. It looks like the large file is twice the size of the latest, taking into account that there were a few QSOs logged between the last two.

I have just imported the large file into my netbook which holds a L32 backup installation and interestingly it indicated that the log ADI was duplicated, that is during the import there were an identical number of errors to the true log data. It looks like there were two consecutive copies of the of the log file, all the errors were at the end of the import.

Ghosts in the machine and nothing lost.

Another interesting occurrence. The VP8NO_BACKUP_FULL file extended to 011 instead of the usual 010. When I did a Zip databases and logbook and attempted to verify an error 504, if I remember correctly, unable to open the Zip file, was reported.

I copied the whole folder to a backup drive, deleted all the backup files, launched L32 did Zip databases and verify was normal. After a load of launching and shut down of L32 I made it to 010 and that is where it stays with just the file creation time incrementing as normal and the earliest file (001) being deleted and the stack shuffling down.

As it's said backup, backup, backup. Lose your log and you could lose a lifetime of records.

Regards,

Mike VP8NO

Logger32 closes after clicking in Cluster Messages Window

Darren Collins (G0TSM)

Hi All,

I'm running 3.50.398 and when I try to respond to a 'Talk Message' in the Cluster Messages Window the majority of the time (not every time) Logger32 will pause for around 30 seconds and then close.

I get a talk message in the cluster (The message appears in the DX Spots window).

I click on the Messages tab on the cluster window.

I click on the call sending the message to populate the field at the bottom left. Logger32 closes (No error message).

Or

I manually go to type their call in that field, but as soon as I click there Logger32 closes (No error message).

It's one of those things which won't break when you want it to.. Any ideas please?

Larry, you are more, much more, than temporarily stuck. You are up shit creek, and I'm sad to have to be the one to break it to you, but you don't have a paddle. Your logbook file on disk is not just corrupted, it is broken and a 4Kb piece of the data in the middle of the file is missing (that is what the error message 2005 and 1002 was saying). Other than that, it's a wonderful day in the neighborhood (who said that Mr. Rogers?). Bottom line Larry, if you don't have another backup, or any other ADIF files, that you haven't mentioned, you have 5200 QSOs, and the rest have just been deep sixed. 73.

Hi Neil

I am using UCXlog , it supports 5 radios. Not a rocket science to do that. I backup QSO's between Logger32 and UCXlog. Most HF with Logger32 and VHF up with UCXlog.

Can I have more than 2 radios set up in Logger32? I have IC7610 for HF, IC7300 for 6m and 4m and TS2000X for 144,432 and 1296. I would like to be able to switch between these in Logger32. Is it possible?

No Logger32 does not support it.

However you can set up 2nd INI, 3rd INI etc. See section "Setting up a second Logger32 INI file"

in Logger32 Help.

I use Logger32_K3, Logger32_IC7610 and Logger32_TS480 etc.

Can I have more than 2 radios set up in Logger32? I have IC7610 for HF, IC7300 for 6m and 4m and TS2000X for 144,432 and 1296. I would like to be able to switch between these in Logger32. Is it possible?
