Aki,
thanks for fast answer.
Yes, I know all is in the L32 Help.
I am under impression that color settings in one window depend on the settings
in the other window. I may be wrong and that is why I ask.

I will follow your advice and start with the Logbook page window,
then DX spot, etc. And, of course, reading L32 Help again.

Thank you and 73

Hi Jim

Arfff, yes i did not remember that CTRL A turn rotor. I don’t use hotkeys in logger , just CTRL D sometimes for spoting.
Maybe just reactivated in an update, because it’s not since a long time that i have the issue

Thanks

Look this bug,

I clicked E75FM, all changed but not the country name at the bottom of logger 32. Still east malaysia (clicked before E75, not answered)

And again, the rotor moved a bit after a RR73 from E75FM, when JTDX started again to call.

Maybe the issue is in JTDX, don’t remember if with older version this rotor issue was here....it’s rc139

Re: rotor problem

F4FQH Olivier

Bob,

So i have more news

Well i will try to explain with my bad english.

I click a call in the UDB band plan.
Log entry is filled by QRZ datas
The rotor move to the direction of the DXCC
JTDX call but no answer, because the operator take another station.
So it stop caling until the operator make a CQ or the RR73
When i receive RR73, JTDX start again to call and here, that’s here, the rotor move a bit.
The operator don’t answer , so JTDX stop calling.
And when it stat again, the antenna move again a bit.

Not all the time but i just made 9M2TO and the antenna moved 2 times, just several degrees but strange.

Why the antenna move, while it turned in the good direction when i clicked on the call at the first time ?

This is not a national security issue !! ahahah so , nothing to block us to use the setup, but crazy....

Hope you followed me...

I use a G2800 with an ERC Mini

Olivier, que vois-tu? 73.

On August 25, 2019 at 6:09 PM Bob <k4cy@...> wrote:

Olivier, mon vieux, I think what you are seeing is because when you click on the UDP BandMap the callsign is loaded into the Logbook Entry Window and the beam heading is calculated based on the callsign. The antenna starts to turn. After maybe one or two seconds the lookup of the callsign adds additional data to the Logbook Entry Window - Maybe a US State or County, maybe a gridsquare. The beam heading is recalculated based on this new information ... What does the rotor do? Experiment with this ... on the Rotator setup Window (at the bottom) are options to delay the start of turning the beam ... For example, if you delay 3 seconds (maybe two, or one), them hopefully the additional data from the callsign lookup has populated the Logbook Entry Window and the calculations will be correct the first time the rotor is turned. Avoir du sens? SeventyThree(s).

Hi Bob,

Well will try to explain but next time i will check carefully the problem.

I’ve started to use the UDP band plan windows now, to select calls which interest me. In JTDX, it not showing correctly what is made or not, so the UDP windows is nice for this.
Nice also because when we clic a call, the system know when calling after a CQ or 73 from the station we call.

Before i clicked only on calls in JTDX and never saw this issue.

When i clic a call in the UDP windows, it fill the logbook entry, and turn the rotator in direction of the call QTH clicked. Untill this, it’s ok.
But, during the QSO the rotor move alone. Sometime it move just a bit, some degrees more or less, it seem the rotator not stopped in the good direction the first time. Somtime moving anywhere...
But this not all the time.
I will check this better, and report you a better explanation.
Or if i can i will make video and send you a link to watch it, because it will be big i think.

Interesting bug but all is usable, just boring,  that’s why i search on my side before asking something, but as i saw some have nearly the same issue, so i told it.

Will investigate a bit more Bob, my problem is i resume work tomorow so the time will be short in next days....

Click TOOLS | SETUP BANDS & MODES. You are now looking at your personalized BandPlan. Look at the FT4 and FT8 rows ... All the way over to the next to last column is where the Rotor # goes. No number = no rotor. So, when operating FT4 or FT8 the frequency changes to the appropriate row in the table. No number = no rotor.  SeventyThree(s).

Re: QRZ search ,

Andy..

After you install it Open the Internet Lookup window in Logger32 (7th icon from right side) When the window open click Toolbox from the top menu then select Setup External Module. A window will open. On that window will be 3 places to enter the application to use. Select the window you have currently filled with the location of your old lookup, Click the browse button at the end of the line. Now move to the directory where you installed L32Lookups.exe and select L32Lookups.exe and select ok.

That should be all that is necessary to setup the location and get it working..

hello all

I'm sure that I'm missing something simple here.  I'm new to the program, but I think everything is running, except this window. I'm using the QRZ database. When I put a call in the Internet Call Sign Lookup window, the first time it works, Great.

I delete the call (using the backspace on my computer) give it a carriage return and the data in the window is gone. When I enter a second call in the window, the first call comes back and and I have a string of the first call and second call characters, and thus, no information. I Have seen the question before but no answer, any help would be good please.
