Bob,

Actually, I think it's more of a Windows thing.

Your comment has made me think a bit more and I may have found the answer to part two of this issue.

I think Albert may be clicking on the wrong part of the title-bar when trying to move the form. The snip included here is part of one of Albert's screenshots. I've added the red box to show the dead space that does not respond to a mouse click to move the form. I fell into that trap myself while I was trying to recreate his issues.

Does the same problem occur even if you do not start the Logger32 program, but just run the cw.exe program by itself?

If you are using the cw.exe program on a secondary display monitor, when minimized, it will minimize to the primary monitor display.

Let's try another guess.

Do you have your display "Scale and Layout" setting set to something other than 100%? I tried setting my display to 150%. When I minimize cw.exe, it goes off the visible screen. Perhaps that is your issue.

Subject: [hamlogger] Country prefix not recognized

Hi Bob,

I’ve seen one or two reports of something similar to this over the past few weeks so I thought I’d add my observation.

I’m running v3.50.391 on Win 10. When waking the laptop from sleep mode, and opening L32 as an administrator, the program fails to recognize the country identity of a prefix.

When a prefix is typed into the logger entry window, “unknown prefix” is displayed. When a call appears in the DX spots window, “??” appears in the Pfx column. Strangely, as you can see from the attached screen shot, the first two calls in the DX spots window DO have their country identified.

I think the Club Log exceptions were automatically being downloaded and/or the L32 updates were being automatically searched at the same time as the DX spots window started to receive entries. So, I wonder if there’s a connection, (i.e. if the auto download/search process disrupted whatever process is used to identify prefixes).

If I close and re-start L32 the prefix identification works as it should.

David, I just sent you a download link for a modified Logger32.exe. Stop Logger32, download the new executable into the Logger32 directory and give it a whirl. SeventyThree(s).

I can run FT4 100% in cherry-picking and FT8 in cherry-picking and also manual

Same thing happening on FT4 here.  I also got two very generic UDP error messages that were generated  by WSJTX running the picker on FT4 yesterday, although they did not seem to effect its operation after I cancelled them out. The messages did not appear to have any
meaningful info regarding the errors

Hi Bob
I was afraid of updating because I thought that I will loose FT8 auto logging.
After your suggestion of updating I did and both FT8 auto logging and Country database exceptions from ClubLog work as expected.
Thank you my friend for such a good logging program. I am with you for many years now.
