Re: Flex 6600M Interface ?

Dave Colliau

May I ask about rig control. I have looked thru the 6600m manual and I dont see any real CIV type commands for this rig. At least not like Icom or Kenwood although the commands I can use for a TS-2000 are limited. I am looking close at one of the M model flex rigs.

Thanks and 73

Logger32 is now happy and both slices now show up as Radio 1 and Radio 2 with rig control working fine.

You can define the radio in Logger32 as an Kenwood radio or PowerSDR.   I have not used N1MM Plus so not sure about the 2 ports you have defined.  Just email me directly if you have any questions.   k4jaf AT k4jaf.com

Has anyone successfully interface the Flex 6600M to HamLogger?  I cannot get it to work.

Both my computer and my Flex are plugged to my Comcast Router.  The two slices in the Flex were assigned Com29 and Com30.  N1MM Plus works fine with these Com Ports (.i.e 29 and 30) and allows me to configure the CAT interface just fine.

However, when I close N1MM and start Logger32, I get a "Invalid Port number: Comm Port 30"  (or 29) when I try to configure the radio in Logger32.

I am using Win7 and Logger32 Version 3.50.356.

Any suggestions?  I have been using Logger32 for many years with ICOM and Yaesu radios.  I would hate to have to switch at this point.

Yes I see UDP and TCP and can open UDP Band~Map now. I think I might have to use the new Primary and Secondary databases if I want to add FX8. but THANKS as I couldnt work out about the paynes UDP TCP from the help files. I'll probably figure out how to go forward now and solve my problem. de Damian M0BKV

As long as you are using Logger32 ver3.50.356 then you should see "TCP" and

"UDP" in the status bar regardless your "Database"

Re: UDP Band Plan

I think you want to say "UDP BandMap" and not "UDP BandPlan"

What you see in the most right pane of lower status bar. I see "TCP" and "UDP"

What is text color for "UDP" ?  Is it Red or Blue ?

If it is Red then right click on "UDP". Click "Open UDP BandMap" UDP BandMap appears.

If wsjt-x or jtdx is running then decoded callsign are displayed in UDP BandMap.

You need to add FT8 slot in your Band/Mode table.

with Green highlight color in WSJT-X control panel ?

and nothing wrong happens until you transmit ?

I am using JTDX or WSJT-X together with IC7300 under Windows 10.

Please check following steps.

1. Close Logger32 and Fldigi. I am sorry but how Fldigi works.

2. Run JTDX. Does this work ?

My experience shows that JTDX (or WSJT-X) and Logger32 can not share

same com port at same time even if I use vspe (com port sharing program)

Do you use multiple monitors ?  If so you may not find rig control error message created

by JTDX or WSJT-x It appears different monitor from the window you use for JTDX or WSJT-X.

Have you recently updated Windows 10 ?   It may cause unexpected problem.

up until a week agao everything was working well and now for some reasonrunning wsjt_x or

and gives the message "another instance may be running try to remove stale lock file"

If I close the program and try to restart it I get "Fatal error Multiple instances must have unique rig names"

If I reboot the computer it will load the program again and run once before locking up. When loccked up it will

not run with Logger32/Fldigi. If I sdtart off running Logger32/Fldigi it will run fine without locking up.

I am looking for suggestions of where to start looking for the problem, by the way I have alread scanned
