I just got the message saying
The bandplan has no entries that match a frequency of 3,834 MHz
The mode has not been changed.

This information comes from a spot of W2FBS who spotted VE3RMJ

Ofcourse is this entry not matching as the 80 m band goes as far of 3,800 MHz (in my region)

Charlie..

Are you running Logger32 using the Run as Administrator setting?? If you are then Right click on L32LogSync.exe and choose Properties then the compatibility tab. There is a checkbox that says Run as Administrator. Place a check in that box and click Apply. Then try closing Logger32 and when it reopens see if the 2 programs will connect then.

Mine always has the message frequency 0.000. Very random on bands and spots.  Never had it up until about a month ago.  Same with the grayed spots saying that it is not a real prefix – W’s VE’s, VU’s others at the high end of the alphabet.

Hi Felix.

I understand your bitterness and can ignore the sarcasm but you’re ranting at the wrong group here.

The technical issue is inherent in very old and no longer supported versions of Windows not being able to use HTTPS.  It just so happens that you’ve bumped into a brick wall by no longer being able to get the Club Log prefix updates, but Logger32 itself is not the issue, nor is Club Log.  That very old and no longer supported version of Windows is the problem.

It’s like someone complaining to a Prius owner’s club that they can’t get solid rubber tyres for their ancient Model T Ford any more.  Too bad I’m afraid, that’s the price of progress.  What do you expect if you choose not to keep up?

You seem to be implying that all technical advances should stop unless YOU say it’s OK to proceed.  Sorry but that’s not the way the world works, Felix, otherwise we’d all be riding horses.  And grunting at each other.  Lots of grunting.

Hello everyone:

After the "good" words that some of you have dedicated to me and thinking that, maybe, it's time to change my computer and not live in the cave age, I decided to put a good computer in my shack.

I went to Mr. HP's computer store and took the latest technology, I7, 1TB SSD, 32GB of memory, etc., many dollars in super-fast and modern technology and, of course, the latest in security.

When I got home with my new purchase, I took the "scrap" I had and took it to a specialized center to recycle the computer components and installed my new computer.

TOTAL FAILURE!!!

1st) I have an HP laser printer, it is in perfect working order, but Mr. HP has decided that I can not use it, that he really does not want to supply me with a 64-bit driver for that printer, and MUST BUY a new printer.

Perfect...

2nd) I have a scanner bought from Mr. EPSON ... can you believe it? Mr. EPSON does not want to make 64-bit drivers for my scanner in W10, but Mr. EPSON is worse than Mr. HP, he has the hard face of sending me to BUY the drivers to another company that has had time to make 64-bit drivers.

3rd) All these changes in my shack have come for the dreams of SECURITY Mr. CLUBLOG, well, I surrender, I accept the premise of security.

I'm going to install my copy of Logger32 and ..... we started badly with "SECURITY", I have to install the program in the root directory and with administrator permissions.

Yes, I must have missed something in recent times, but I think that, at least in my cave times, administrator permissions were used for other things and use them without a real reason is a clear danger to the security of our computers .

4th) Well, to hell with SECURITY, Logger32 installed and running ... running ?, no, not running.

I have an archaic FT-857D for the field days and when I have it in the shack I have it connected to the computer to manage the CAT, it is connected with a USB cable that has a chip of Mr. PROLIFIC that, coincidentally, does not make drivers either of 64 bits.

I had to buy another cable, this is from Mr. FTDI, this one works.

SUMMARY OF MY DEPARTURE FROM THE ERA OF THE CAVES TO THE FUTURE:

A lot of money in computer.
A lot of money in a new printer.
A lot of money in a new scanner.
A little more money, little, on a new USB cable.
A security hole in my new computer.

I think that for the work that my "junk" had with Windows XP and thinking that Mr. CLUBLOG's humdrum dreams about security i have squandered enough money unnecessarily.

Download the 32 bits drivers for your printer and scanner and install them with Windows 10. I do this every day for a living and usually have no troubles installing drivers that are 32bit instead of the 64 bit drivers..

What is Logger32 not doing that has stopped it??

Re: QRZ lookup

Rick Ellison

Hi Stu..
There is a problem there I have not been able to duplicate it to catch it in a debug file yet. If you would do this.. When you are about to close L32 out for the day open the lookup and turn debugging on. Close out L32 and the lookup should close automatically. Now switch to the directory where you have installed the lookup and delete the debuglog.txt file. This will create a new Debug file the next time you start the lookup. After the first lookup fails Turn Debug off and send me the DebugLog.txt file as an attachment.

After the first lookup fails you don't need to do anything with the session key or no changes need to be done just do another lookup and it will return the results with no issues..

Hi Rick,

I'm having a similar problem. The first lookup after the program has been unused for a couple days return an empty lookup. Debugging shows a failed lookup. If I reset the XML Key it corrects the problem for my radio session.

Version 1.0.0.11 running on Logger32 Version 3.50.352 with Windows 10 Pro 1709

Maybe QRZ is expiring keys faster then they used to?

What version of L32Lookups are you using?? The 2 step process of login
only is required for the HTTP lookup not the xml. When using XML the

To make sure your XML subscription has not run out look yourself up on
QRZ and it will tell you if you are an XML or just a regular subscriber.
There is abug that the very first lookup when using the XML it does
not go thru but subsequent looks after that work as normal.

One thing you can do is turn Debug on and try a lookup. When it fails
turn debug off and send me the debuglog.txt file that is in the
install directory of the program.
