Brain boxes 8 port ISA RS232 card from www.netshop.co.uk cost just under 300 Sterling so that's about US$450. I see others have complained about the cost already. Mike de G0WZY

R More Fields Possible & Print Problem
rbandla@...
Greetings from Ottawa, Canada - I'm new to the group and new to
Logger and have only read the last half of history so pls forgive me if this is asked and answered. I used Logger for Field Day and for Canada Day contest. It worked well but I came up with 2 problems which may be my own fault. 1) I needed a field for the state or province (ARRL section). I don't mean the zone, here. I ended up putting it at the leading edge of the comments section, followed by name if I knew it, followed by city if I knew it, becuz cudn't find anywhere else to put this info. 2) When I tried printing the log, it would only print the first few characters of the comment section. And this appears at the extreme right edge of my printout. I can't seem to find anyway to get more printed - such as changing font size, or shrinking some of the fields. I checked in the ADIF format, and the info gets put out fine, it just appears to be a printing limitation. Have I done something wrong here? and does anyone have ideas to try? Bob - these 2 programs are absolutely great! I've been looking for this software for a couple of years. Thankyou. 73. Rick (VE3CVG)

ceramic RF power capacitors
Promedia Ltd. <promedia@...>
Hi,
can anybody hint me on a source of 200pF/10kV "doorknob" type ceramic capacitors? Distributor or a manufacturer would help really much. We need that for trap construction and it seems finding the caps will be the most difficult part of the whole project. Thanks, Alec/SP2EWQ

My experience of USB is that it is slow, and every now and again my Win98 system just stops, and then bursts into life again (Pentium III). This happens when using the USB for printing. However, my Win95 system (Pentium P200) now has up to COM10: (2 on motherboard and 8 on a Brain Boxes Lynx ISA card) and this is incredibly swift with no "pauses". Mike
