Ravens Feast on Old Fish....

The North Maine Ravens flew into town and found the cuisine much to thier liking
as they tore up some Sturgeon for 2 wins and a tie in the 3 game set.

In the first game, Felix Potvin outdueled Steve Shields, blanking Delta on a 2-0
score. Randy McKay notched both of the North Maine goals as Delta won all the
battles except the score. The Sturgeon outshot the Ravens 36-32, but could not
find more than 1 ringer off the post.

In Game 2, Delta was fortunate to get a tie thanks to a shorthanded goal by
Blair Atcheynum. Despite 5 PP opportunities, the Ravens had to rally for a
comeback tie on a Terry Yake goal in the 3rd. Delta again shut down the North
Maine power play, and looks to be fielding a capable PK unit this year.

Game 3 was ugly. No other way to put it. Felix Potvin notched his second shutout
against Delta as the Ravens pounded Steve Shields for 7 goals on 40 shots. Delta
did manage 30 shots, but none found the back of the net. The Sturgeon powerplay
was brutal going 0 for 7, and giving up a shorthanded goal.

Said GM Martin, "The first two games were close, hard-fought games. I don't know
what the hell happened in the 3rd game. That's just not the kind of performance
you need playing at home. Perhaps the team will catch some fire when Forsberg
gets back in the lineup."
