Message 2377: THURSDAY 26 JANUARY (evening): PIANO RECITAL by MARC CORBETT-WEAVER at ST. JAMES'S, PICCADILLY (50 tickets at the special price of £5, but advance purchase required - deadline: 6pm on Tuesday 24 October) Marc Corbett-Weaver, Artistic Director of the London Firebird Orchestra (LFO - http://www.firebirdorchestra.com ), has kindly offered my members up to 50 tickets at the specially discounted price of £5 for his piano recital on Thursday 26 January at St. James's Church, Piccadilly, starting at 7.30pm. Many of you will recognise Marc from previous concerts. Click on http://www.marccorbett-weaver.com/biography to read more about him. The Programme: Bach/Busoni's Chaconne in D minor; Debussy's Clair de Lune; Ravel's Gaspard de la Nuit; interval; Liszt's Sonata in B minor. The nearest tube station is Piccadilly Circus (Piccadilly and Bakerloo Lines), but it is also within easy walking distance from Green Park (Piccadilly, Jubilee and Victoria Lines). Ticket Price: The original price of tickets is £25 and £20 (excluding booking fees), and we are being offered £20 tickets (Tier 2 tickets) at the very special price of £5 (including the booking fee). Booking/Payment Procedure: Click on https://www.ticketsource.us/RevolutionArts/t-qjmayla and then on "BOOK NOW". Select the number of Tier 2 tickets at £20 you wish to purchase and click on "Next". Type (or copy and paste) GORDON2022 in the space for a discount code, and select Eticket for delivery (as this delivery option is free), or, if you prefer, Mobile ticket (cost: £0.50) to have your tickets sent to your mobile phone. Then click on "use discount code". (Importantly, the code needs to be typed in UPPERCASE letters and Tier 2 needs to be selected.) You should see that your total cost has been discounted by £16.68 a ticket so that you will pay £5.00 (including the booking fee) instead of £20.00 (plus the booking fee) for each ticket. Click on "checkout" to make your purchase by debit or credit card. Note that there is NO NEED to print your ticket(s) as your name will be on a guest list. The deadline for booking is 6pm on Tuesday 24 January, but the offer could be withdrawn earlier should my allocation of 50 tickets become fully subscribed. Please be aware that only those who have purchased their tickets in advance will be able to avail themselves of this special price as no discounted tickets will be available on the night and anyone arriving without having booked would need to pay the full price. Should you have any queries regarding your booking, please e-mail info@... and not myself. On Arrival: Please note that you will not be allowed inside the foyer until 6.45pm. Go to the main ticket desk where your name(s) will be ticked off (no paper tickets will be issued), and you will be informed of your seat number(s). Although you are asked to arrive in good time, please note that there is no advantage in arriving extremely early as the seats will be numbered and will have been pre-allocated by Marc's team. Seating: The concert is likely to be well attended, and it is important that you sit in your allocated seat. Tier 2 seats will be in the rear centre and side aisles. Summary of Timings: 6.45pm - doors to foyer and the bar open; 7pm - doors to concert hall open; 7.30pm - concert starts; 8.15pm (approx.) - interval starts; 8.35pm (approx.) - second part of concert starts; 9.15pm (approx.) - concert ends. Refreshments: Wine and soft drinks will be available to purchase from 6.45pm and during the interval. As I am not required for ticket distribution, you will find me near the bar from about 7pm as well as during the interval. Before and During the Concert: Please ensure that your mobile phone is turned off! I will remove offenders from my list. This applies to anyone causing any kind of disturbance that could jeopardise offers of tickets. Sound and movement are distracting to people around you, and anyone who cannot sit silently and still should not request tickets. In particular, please do not bring children unless they can sit still and quietly, and note that children need to be at least 6 years of age to attend this concert. |
