Spindle Sensors

John Dammeyer

Finally got around to mounting my 3 slotted sensors in the 3D printed holder onto the Gingery Lathe.  It's been on the to-do list for more than a year.  Tonight I drilled all the appropriate holes into a piece of aluminium and mounted it.  The encoder disk is 3D printed black which is transparent to the sensor IR so there's silver paint on the disk.  The hub for the sensor disk is aluminium.

The intention was to try using the BeagleBone Black with MachineKit to run this and ultimately with an updated ELS that can handle a quadrature encoder and index.
