does the brat plugin support relationships?
Hi, if I have the following .ann file:
T4 Features 585 611 Slower activity at 4-4.5Hz
A7 FeatureType T4
T5 BrainRegion 641 657 temporal regions
A8 Negation T5 Affirmed
A9 Region T5 temporal
R1 Localisation Arg1:T4 Arg2:T5
And load these into GATE via the brat plugin. The entities and their features are all present, but there doesn’t seem to be any indication of the relationship (last line).
Ideally I would like all of the features of Arg2:T5 to become features of Arg1:T1 in GATE. I could highlight the entire covered text containing both Arg1 and Arg2 as a single entity, but this has implications for matching in GATE later on due to the amount of text between each, so I would really like to be able to highlight them separately and link them.
Thanks very much,
The brat plugin does handle the relations it just doesn't add them as part of the normal annotations/features in GATE. If you load a brat document with annotations look at the bottom of the document and there should be a tab for relations. This displays relations that are stored using the relations API in GATE. Unfortunately there isn't much GUI support for the relations that tab simply gives a simple textual representation of the relations.
