The CW Round Table is very informal - I hesitate to call it a NET. The only particular structure is the check in process.
For the sake of brevity, we use two NTS Q codes:
- QNI - "any checkins / please check in"
- QNS - "the stations present are (followed by a list of stations)"
At the beginning of the round table you will hear "QNI?" - this is simply the controller (NCS) asking for checkins. Send your callsign, and after you are acknowleged by NCS, send your name.
After NCS decides to proceed with the round table, he will say "QNS" and follow along with each stations call sign, and operator name. WRITE THESE DOWN so that you know who is present, and who you can pass to.
Generally the conversation is passed "around the table" but this is not a strict rule - you are free to ask anyone a question, or redirect your pass to a person that is different than who you previously passed to - just try to make sure everyone stays involved.
