i've added immigration as a fact, but I'm not able to add the date of immigration

The Immigration Event is a standard fact. So I presume you have added an Immigration fact to an Individual Property Box on the Facts tab. You enter the date in the Date box just like any other fact. Please explain why you cannot do that. Mike Tate -----Original Message-----

colored me embarrassed. I could not add it because it was grayed out. I decided to restart my computer, and voila, It worked like it should

But which Source template did (should) you use to include your documents?

Firstly, it is not mandatory to use a Source Template at all, and a Generic Source would be OK. Secondly, it depends where the immigration details are published. If in a Ship Passenger List then Essentials Directory/List or if in a newspaper article the Essentials Newspaper Item, but others are possible. Remember it is not the type of Fact that determines the Source Template but the type of source document.
