Help with configuring tree and finding an individual

Hello, I've just done something to the settings that means I can no longer click on an individual in the focus window and go up through that person's ancestors,clicking each new individual as I go back. I can only do this using the large blue arrow in the property box which says 'go to parent' when you hover over it. Can anyone help please?
Also whereas I used to click on the black binoculars to find an individual, now it just says 'find text'. How can I access the list of all the people in the tree please. Thanks in advanc Kay Pitt |

Sorry Kay but I suspect your memory is playing tricks.
You must double-left-click a parent box (or any other box) in the Focus Window to bring them into Focus. A single-left-click only ever highlighted a box to select it but does not change Focus.
The black binoculars icon opens the Edit > Find… dialogue and always did. To list all Individual records open the Records Window and the Individuals tab. To open the Records Window, in the lefthand vertical Navigation bar, click the icon below the magnifying glass Focus icon.

One slight correction to what Mike said: if you single left click on the little magnifying glass bottom left of somebody’s box in the focus window, you do bring that person into focus.
