Edit Source Template

Arild.Tangeras@...

I have imported my data from TMG and am now exploring FH and how to use source templates, sources, and citations. I have created a new source template, added it to my project, and added a citation using this source template. I then wanted to modify the layout of the source template, so I deleted the citation so that in the Source list it shows that it is used for zero citations. After modifying the source template and saving it and then I try to add it to the project, I cannot do this, since the previous version of the template is still in my project. The alternative is to change the name of the template, but I would prefer to delete the old version from the project so that I can add the updated one with the same name. Is there any way I can to this?
Thank you,
Arild

Hi Arild,

I assume you are using Tools > Source Template Definitions… to Edit the template.

Now that Definition has the same name as the Source Template Record in the Project but the definition differs.

The step you are missing is the Compare/Sync with Source Template Record… button on the right.

Use the Help button to get advice on using the dialogue.

Than you, that led me in the right direction.
