Citation List Pane Colours

Patrick Maloney

In the Citation List Pane in the Property box, the lettering is sometimes blue and sometimes reddish. What does this mean?

I have searched, but found no answer.

Thanks,

Patrick

The Blue is for citations linked to a single individual's attributes or events (birth, death, graduation).

The Reddish indicates the citation is attached to a family event of attribute shared by more than one person (marriage, divorce, family note, etc.).

To expand on that, there are 12 different types of records in FH V7, such as Individual, Family, Note, Source, Repository, Media, Place, etc.

Many are assigned a different colour: Individual: blue, Family: brown, Note: green, Source: red, etc, although all the most recent ones use black.

Those colours are used when low-level details are shown such as on the Property Box ‘All’ tab or when expanded in the Records Window.
