Contact Info for V7?
Beverly Smallwood
Hi all (Mike) I downloaded and installed the fact type, tab, query and report files found here: I'm getting the first part (name, address, postcode, phones) but just the labels for email/web/etc. The query indicates that these items are "disabled". How do I go about fixing this? Given our time difference, you are likely sound asleep now... but I'll keep looking at it in the meantime. When I attempt to add the % to beginning and ending I get: After some stumbling around, I got it working by examining the format of the entry when adding it by doubleclick on item... which gives me %INDI._ATTR-CONTACT_INFO[1].EMAIL[1]% %INDI._ATTR-CONTACT_INFO[2].EMAIL[1]% %INDI._ATTR-CONTACT_INFO[3].EMAIL[1]% |

Bev, This problem was discussed last month in the FHUG Forums. The download tab is only compliant with FH V6 and earlier and needs some small changes for FH V7. You found the change for Email. See the Forum thread ‘Info on adding addresses, emails, phone numbers’: https://www.fhug.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=21047 That explains what to change and how to do it.

Thank you Mike. I got it working except for the report which I probably don't need as such. I've decided that this is also a good place to record links for deceased people to their online trees (FamilySearch, Ancestry, WikiTree, etc.). This way I can flag reports and exports etc. to disregard the Contact Info event. Even though it wasn't for version 7, it was a good base to work from and provided a learning experience.
