FILE STATISTICS REPORT IN PROJECT BOOKS
christopher.patching@...
I have a FILE STATISTICS report chapter included in a Project Book I have created.
The book Table of Contents, (ToC), lists the chapter title as "File Statistics", as expected. However, the actual report uses the project FILE NAME as the chapter title, which is inconsistent with the ToC and confusing when reading the book. It is possible to edit the chapter "Heading" by selecting the <Edit Book> tag and double-clicking on the report. Changes show in the ToC, but not on the report. (Other reports, e.g. Individual Summary, "Heading" changes seem to work fine). Am I doing something wrong? |

Hi Christopher, You are doing nothing wrong. The File Statistics Report is a special kind of report produced by a Report Plugin (i.e. Coded using Lua like other Plugins). There are several such reports created by Calico Pie for FH V7. They tend to suffer from various problems such as you described and don’t offer all the Report Options that you might expect. In the case you describe it is not possible to use the Report Options > Format tab to set the Record Heading and the Chapter Title in the Book.
I suggest you report the problem to Calico Pie.
The best I can suggest is that you use the Book Settings to make the Chapter Heading and ToC the same, i.e. the name of the Project.

Thank you, Mike, for your quick and knowledgeable reply and for confirming I'm not missing something.
The lack of ability to customise this particular chapter heading is inconvenient more than anything else, but at least I do have the ability to change the ToC. I'll take your suggested workaround on board. I've never contacted Calico Pie with this kind of a 'problem' before. Is it best done by opening a Support Ticket, or is there a different route? |
