Sort Date
I always use ABT, Bef, Aft or Bet date approximates and refine them as data quality improves. As I cleanup my project I find that the farther back I go the less data I sometimes have. |

On the Date Entry Assistant, check "Separate Sort Date". This should allow you to enter a sort date without specifying a "real" date.

I occasionally have a person where I don't have any dates for a particular event. Ex. I know a person Mary married a man John Smith in the 1600's. I get facts of a marriage and an alternate name. I have tried entering sort date without a real date but it always fills in the date from the sort date which is not accurate. Can I sort facts when I know the sequence but not any actual dates? |
