Extra Sources in Ancestral Sources
Presumably, you are using Method 2 (data in citations) for Baptism / Marriage, etc.
If you are on the Baptism data entry mode use Tools > Options… The General settings have a Source Identification section in the middle for Baptism. Various Source Type is or Source Title includes options may be listed. Your Source records must match one or other of those criteria to appear in the Sources list.

Hi Brian
Under Tools->Options on the first 'General settings' page, there is a section called 'Source Identification'. If you select the source type you are interested in then you'll see the rules it uses to identify a source. You can add extra rules or delete existing rules as required.
I hope that helps

Hi all
Can someone tell me how to get more of my existing sources to appear in the Ancestral Sources drop-down source selection list (using Ver 7.3.3). I appreciate that if I already have the magic keyword in the census title (ie " 18xx Census") it seems to automatically add it to the census source list but I have other existing generic sources I'd like to be able to use for a baptism / marriage etc (ie source title such as = "Info from xxxxx"). I've tried adding a "Type" to my sources but that does not seem to work. In AS I get an option to add a "New Source" (with the next free Source ID number) but cannot choose an existing one. I'm using Thanks Brian |
