Help with finding links to source
Hello, I’m at a loss at to what to do with this result set being empty. ☹ In the first screen shot (sources to links) you can see that the fifth column says there is a link to one record. My assumption is that link is to an individual…
For 99% of the sources in my database (most imported from gedcoms from other researchers) clicking on Query to individuals linked to source gives me the name or names of individuals in my db. However in one percent of the queries I get no individual names, as in this instance – last screen shot Individuals linked to source.
Am I out of luck because the original source citation wasn’t linked to an individual or is my newbie status as an FH user showing my naivete in finding and using an alternate way of finding the source link to an individual in my db?
Thanks! Gary

Have you checked all the events relating to that place
Also it is useful before you import a gedcom file into your project to import it into a new empty file and run a few quick checks before you do the main import

Please see the response to your query in the FH User Group on https://www.fhug.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=20461&p=123060#p123060 Just as a matter of protocol and practicality, it's seldom a good idea to post the same question at the same time in both the mailing list and the user group as so many of us are in both places. Also, in practical terms, although it's not at all obvious, posting images in this mailing list is a slow process as they need to be moderated - the FHUG doesn't have that restriction. |

Hi Gary, There are several ways to discover the Citations linked to a Source record. See the FHUG Knowledge Base ‘Finding Records Linked to a Source’ https://fhug.org.uk/kb/kb-article/finding-records-linked-to-a-source/
After selecting the Source record as you have done, use one of the following: In FH V7 use View > Citations to Source Record… In any FH use View > Record Links… In FH V5 or later use either of the Plugins: List All Citations for a Selected Source Where Used Record Links There is also a Query download to find Fact Citations at: https://fhug.org.uk/kb/download/facts-linked-to-a-source-3/

Hello Mike, I have FH V& so the View > Citations to Source Record is exactly what I need. Thank you so much for pointing it out. I switched from RM to FH based on the reviews I saw and I am so glad I did. I didn’t see a reviews section on the FH website but if there is a way to tell the developers what an outstanding job they have dome in making database reports and screens so easy to use, please let me know. Gary
